This fledgling label is the brainchild of Dusty Johnston aka DJ Dusty who has been a pioneer in Canada’s music community for more than 18 years. Having first stepped behind the turntables at the age of 15, this pioneer in the Canadian HipHop scene has been thrilling dancefloors ever since. Dusty Johnston played at the Thunderdome and at the now legendary Canadian Afterhours “Atomic” for many years , he has turned his focus to bringing you new electronic artists on his label, “dustyRECORDINGS” .

This bubbling new label will be bring you new and established artists from across Canada and will be focusing on breaking new electronic sounds and styles. From Electronica to Dirty Electro to Synth Pop, this labels’ roster will bridge the gap between genres.

Label founder Dusty Johnston has just finished recording his first solo album. This album is produced entirely by Dusty Johnston and features Dusty’s hard-hitting beats and sweeping melodies which combine to form an innovative and infectious sound.
